Not according to this: New York City Homicides Map - The New York Times

I think the difference is that the 515 number you cite includes people who died in 2010 even though they were originally injured in earlier years (in one case, a guy injured in 1977 died in 2010 and was included in the total murders for 2010) and deaths that happened in early years but were classified as murders in 2010.

The 329 deaths listed by the NY Times at that website cited above are the actual murders that occurred in 2010 without the prior years' incidents included.

Now you know the rest of the story

The thing I see here is this....... Do you see any city or state's around this great country of our"s doing What NYC is doing? No other state or city makes a CCW permit holder, who checks there weapon(legally throught the TSA guideline's)While traveling is now a criminal! .I think it is time to bring on a federal law suit on NYC.
    Where are you NRA?,

Get the facts straight then we can discuss the issues.

They weren't charged for checking their weapons with the TSA. They were charged for being in possession of a weapon without a license.

Tha's no different than a Texas CC licensee being charged with a felony of rhaving a weapon in a secure area of an airport, or a bar or church or stadium or polling place.

I had a similar incident in Seattle wa. I forgot to declare my firearm though and was called back to the counter when it was found in my checked bags. I was called to the counter and surrounded by cops. They looked at things and took pictures and whatnot but I just filled out the card and threw it in with the case and went on my way. I'm still waiting for tSA to mail me a letter but I got to fly out an back.
