Default The Today Show joins the attack....

The new Rossen Reports segment of the Today Show kicked off today with an expose about private citizens selling all sorts of weapons without requiring background checks. The report states that no legitimate gun shop would ever sell a firearm of ANY kind without requiring a background check - something that is actually only required in most states for the sale of handguns or firearms meeting federal assault rifle criteria, but that private citizens are able to sell ANY kind of firearm without requiring this - even online. The reporter expressed horror at the idea that one of the sellers actually included a box of that incredibly dangerous Black Talon HOLLOW POINT ammo! The video gives both Mayor Bloomberg and Sen. Schumer yet another opportunity to promote their agendas. They want to require private citizens to run background checks before selling their personal firearms.

Here is the link to the report (be sure to watch the video!):

Is it a violation of federal law for me to sell my shotgun to a my neighbor if I know he is a convicted felon, I know he is the subject of a domestic relations order because he threaten to kill his wife, and he tells me he needs a gun to do "something big."?

We are talking NBC/MSNBC, a clone of the Goebbel's School of Fascist Propaganda. Guns are bad in civilian hands, capitalism is bad, illegals are not illegals, Obama is king and the only one who can save America, Israel is the devil and all moslems are peace-loving, GE is a great US company even though it is closing all its US plants and opening them in China--shall I go on? What the hell do you expect when you listen to that toilet network?

What did you expect, once again they think the 1st amendment outweighs all the rest, when without the 2nd amendment gov would and has supressed folks in other parts of the world, I think msnbc and nbc has aided enemy forces by anouncing troop movements, what Israel is planning, what our troops are doing and should be banned from doing so. What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander.

This article is so laden with commie BS, I hated reading it.
For our next meeting, we bought a Glock-23 with hollow-point bullets, made to inflict serious internal damage
No sh!7 Sherlock. Try buying a gun that isn't made to inflict internal damage. The gun grabbers are getting desperate.

More sensationalism from the main stream media. The Canadian that bought a gun and murdered his girl friend was going to kill gun or no gun. Ammo can be purchased in any store without any back ground check. 34 people murdered every day by guns, were did that number come from. Per the FBI gun violence has been on the decline for years. Just more grand standing by the liberal main stream media.

They got their numbers from the same place the Brady Campaign got this information, which they released following the judge's decision to uphold the Illinois gun ban:

The court concluded that prohibiting public gun carrying is reasonable because it “will thereby diminish the public’s risk of injuries and death by gunfire.” The court based its ruling on studies finding that the public carrying of guns poses a severe danger to the public. Studies show that states that broadly allow gun carrying have experienced increases in violent crime, murder, and robbery.
As you have already observed, the FBI's data, as well as data from the Michigan State Police and numerous other law enforcement agencies around the country, definitively prove that the opposite it true. Michigan numbers have dropped to near-historic lows since we opened up access to CPLs. As the saying goes, figures never lie, but liars always figure. So we have to make absolutely certain that we fight bad information with good information.

These are the type of deceptive attacks on firearm owners and the lack of gun laws that were common in the 1980s The stooges that put on this type of irrational journalism are stupid enough not to realize that firearm ownership in this country has become more mainstream, and as such, these type of attacks impress only the fools of the same ilk that put on these type of deceptive stories. The most perverted part of the entire segment is that the producers themselves are totally ignorant of the current laws regarding the ownership, sale, and transfer of firearms. This is what the leftists specialize in. If they can't produce a legitmate argument? Distort the truth.

The Today Show report only serves to galvanize the millions of firearm owners in this country and to educate newer firearm owners of the ever present threat to the future of firearm ownership posed by the leftist controlled mass media and the political candidates and office holders they play lap dog for.
