Service member second amendment protection act of 2010
Google the thread title. Anyone know or heard anything about this and where it is going? As far as I can tell its dead, not denied or thrown out but just sitting on a desk.
Anyone know of a way to bring it back to life? I've been wanting something like this for a while and soar the only response I've gotten is that individual base commanders think the army regs won't allow CC but after thoroughly reviewing 190-* and discussing this through an ICE report at JBLM I've come to the conclusion that the cg of a base can allow regular CC but doesn't because he/she doesn't want to be known as the one who allowed it.
Yes! I'm on board. This needs to go through. I'm in the military, and I've often wondered why we can't bring our pistols on base, but yet some of our personnel are handling loaded firearms all the time. I say again, this needs to go through.
If it does though, I'm sure like you said, there will probably be a provision to put the responsibility on the CO to regulate such activity.
