And when they meet next month to lobby for control of the internet, we may never know if they pass the ATT.
This is a discussion on Another Four Years of Anti-2nd Ammendment Pressure within the Firearm Politics & 2nd Amendment Issues forums, part of the Main Category category; Obama and his administration, as well as many in the Senate, and most if not all of his big money ...
Obama and his administration, as well as many in the Senate, and most if not all of his big money backers are already pushing again for a U.N. weapons treaty. I know the Senate has to ratify any such treaty but the problem lies in the words that are not being said or written. As it is now the treaty does not infringe on our second ammendment. It states it is aimed at manufacturers and sellers of weapons that are being used by the bad guys. Problem number one is the U.N. gets to decide who the bad guys are. Problem number two is the manufacturers are our friends and people and businesses we support and who support our rights. The U.N. wants them out of business. Problem number three is that many in the Senate will support this treaty as it is written now. The U.N. knows this. If the treaty gets passed then who is going to stop the U.N., with Obama's blessing, from ammending the treaty to become all encompassing and override our rights. That's the problem in dealing with those who want more power. They will never be honest and can never be trusted. Keep the pressure on your elected officials. They are more afraid of you than they are of the U.N.

Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia...Tenche Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.
