it's my understanding you can carry in your glovebox or any closed container in your vehicle without a permit
but double check that to make sure
gun control is being able to hit your target

You better read between the lines as LEO's are not clear that's why I have the book and not just the Fl. Statute.

Yes she can carry in her glove compartment, but thats it!!!! The book mentioned in this thread is an excellent read.
    US Navy, Ruger SP101 357 3" Barrel, Glock 19 G3, Taurus M65 357 mag, Walther PK 380

  9. It can also be carried, really, any place in the car if its in a secure container. A secure container is defined by Florida statute as a holster, zippered gun pouch, gun box (like the one it came in from the factory), glove box, or center console. A great web site that I use regularly is USA Carry - Your #1 Concealed Carry Resource and Community

It is lawfull to carry a handgun in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle in Florida without a license IF it is concealed, securely encased and otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use. All three definitions can be found in F.S. 79.001; Definitions.

However. Nothing in the statute prohibits the carrying of a legal firearm OTHER than a handgun ANYWHERE in the passenger compartment of the vehicle if the firearms is beng carried for a lawful purpose like self defense. God Bless America!!!
