He should never have been charged to start with! If the Florida cops don't know the CCW laws of their state, I suggest they read Chapter 790!

Exactly, there was no reason to charge him in the first place. Now the towing of the car is a different story as I remember it that there were some problems with his "state of mind" etc. and the towing although could have been avoided was legit.

In Pennsylvania many PA residents who have Florida non resident and Utah non resident pistol permits have been arrested because the police did not know about reciprocity.The Police make the arrest but you get jammed up with legal expense to prove you were not violating any state gun law.Anyway PA has put out directives to agencies throughout the state to not make arrests with out of state permit holders who have valid permits honored in PA.

Police stupidity is no excuse! These laws have been in effect longer than 5 years! I'll tell the police one time that I am legal and show them in black and white. Anything more than that, I'll let the Judge explain it to them.

Perfectly legal to have a loaded pistol in the your glovebox here in Kentucky.

However, that doesn't mean that every Police Officer, in every city and county and jurisdiction won't give you a hard time about it should the matter come up.
