    Default Non-Resident CCW - DD214 Sufficient Proof of Training?

    I hold an Alabama pistol permit, and am interested in acquiring a Florida non-resident CCW. I served 4 years in the Marines, qualifying on M14 and M16 rifles and received training on the M1911-A1. Will my DD214 suffice for the training requirement in order to acquire the CCW?

    Thanks,

    Gsh

    FL info... goto page 3 (its #2 at bottom of page) , Question #6...

    Presents evidence of equivalent experience with a firearm through participation in organized shooting competition
    or military service (persons serving in the United States Armed Forces may submit a copy of their Military ID Card;
    discharged persons may submit a copy of the DD-214);

    Proof that you are ex-military should be enough for your firearms training.

    From what I've read of some of the license mills in Fla, I understand how my Corps experience is plenty. Thanks, guys!
