Question What happens to Form 4473?

I was wondering, when a corporate FFL (Sportsman"s Warehouse) goes out of business locally, what happens to the forms 4473 of background checks/firearms purchases that have happened in that local store? I know that when a FFL quits the forms must go back to BATFE and that forms must be kept 20 years for all sales that have completed.

Just wondering where the "proof" of my purchase is right now.

    Sir,

I'm not completely sure, but I do think that sportsmans warehouse corporate office maintains an FFL and each store is an "additional location". I'm sure that the records are sent to corporate, and they manage record-keeping. I'd say your 4473 is in a corporate storage somewhere, or at the next closest branch.

    Default Thanks for the info

I kinda though that was the case, but didn't know. When the store closed here, I wondered where those forms could be.
