    That is true, I haven't had that problem anymore. It was probably a one in a million thing, also I didn't even think about checking the battery. The mouse does take two AA batteries. I just used the "weak" batteries in a flashlight and to be honest forgot all about them.

    The problem with a dead battery in something like a flashlight is it could cause a rupture due to the difference in charge levels; especially in high drain devices like a krypton bulb flashlight. That is why they always say never mix new and old batteries.
