Ralph Fascitelli of Washington Ceasefire, an advocacy group that seeks to reduce gun violence, said allowing guns in coffeehouses robs residents of "societal sanctuaries."
"People go to Starbucks for an escape, just so they can get peace," Fascitelli said. "But people walk in with open-carry guns and it destroys the tranquility."
Societal sanctuaries? Escape and tranquility? Don't really know what this guy is smoking, but having a mass murderer walk in and gun down the entire patronage at Starbucks is sure as hell going to ruin someone's tranquility.
Not being allowed to defend myself sure as hell destroys my tranquility. I already can't carry on base, which considering my occupation, is pretty stupid. Haven't the base shootings over the years taught us anything?
