Thanks for the post... For Us old guys that can't read, the Interactive map was a good visual.. There are way too many states that need to change their color.

Default I read a few posts

I read a few posts and it was generally:

ProCarry - I accept the responsibility and laws that prevail, and take care of business

NoCarry - mostly hysterical meanderings of the Wild West and accidental discharge

I'm very glad I have joined the first group, and to the hysterical I say, I am well aware of not only the laws (I have most memorized), but the awesome responsibility of carrying a concealed firearm. And I will definently take care of business.

As long as our society is going to care more about the welfare of the criminal than the welfare of the victim, this trend will continue.

I agree with that being from MA. It's been the norm here for far too long.

It has become the social trend lately, I'm supposed to be responsible for preventing people from being stupid? And possibly be held liable for civil action if I fail to so. Why?

The criminals do have rights, I'll stipulate that. When the police arrest them they get to hear them read aloud. If the police fail to intervene in time... I have the right to defend myself when faced with the threat of injury or death.

Posted this before: If the criminal dies as a result of the injury I inflict while defending myself from possible death or injury in the process of a criminal assault, that is the result of a poor decision on the part of the criminal to assault me, not a violation of his rights.

    Peace...
You can give peace a chance alright..

I'll seek cover in case it goes badly..

Hust finished reading it. Great article that will help a lot of people understand the general idea. I also found the poll results interesting as well.

Really liked the little interactive map. Not sure but I know at least one state is wrong on their map. Alabama is shown as being a Shall Issue state from one end of their timeline to present. To my knowledge it has always been a May Issue state, still is. Wonder how many more are wrong?

The fact below has probably done more to secure the safety of our RKBA than anything else. A large group of armed individuals have a lot to lose if gun rights are unrecognized by the government.
From its beginnings in the 1980s, the “right-to-carry” movement has succeeded in boosting the number of licensed concealed-gun carriers from fewer than 1 million to a record 6 million today, according to estimates from gun-rights groups that are supported by msnbc.com’s research
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam
