Question concerning subway carry

Got a question. I think I know the answer but here goes. I have a valid CC permit from the state of VA and carry everyday. Sometimes, to get around in VA while working, I take the METRO. Northern VA traffic is a NIGHTMARE! Am I breaking the law by carrying my weapon in the subway system? By the way there are no posted signs prohibiting it but the subway runs out of DC; which is another planet altogether.

In Virginia, both open and concealed are legal. Just don't fall asleep and get east of the Potomac....
