    Default Doctors vs. Gun Owners

    Doctors vs. Gun Owners
    Doctors
    (A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
    (B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are:
    120,000.
    (C) Accidental deaths per physician is:
    0.171.
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    Now think about this:
    Guns
    (A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.
    (Yes, that's 80 million)
    (B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is:
    1,500.
    (C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is:
    .000188.
    Statistics courtesy of FBI
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    So, statistically, doctors are approximately
9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT
almost everyone has at least one doctor.
This means you are over 900 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as a gun owner!!!
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.
    We must ban doctors
before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Out of concern for the public at large,
    I withheld the statistics on
    lawyers
for fear the shock would cause
people to panic and seek medical attention!

Maybe the doctors should have a gun handy so they can shoot you if they can't fix ya.

    Old, distorted news.

Way back ,when this study was published, it was interesting where the author discussed his methods. He discussed the model he used to come to his numbers. He reported that his numbers were a projection and the actual number of medical error related deaths was FAR lower than published projection.

Quite a few people with an axe to grind, either missed, or deliberately ignored, the author's caveat.

I have a friend and he has told me a few stories. By the way he packs heat and can't stand the AMA.

I love this . My current nutty doctor has a ccw and made it a point to me that if I wasn't careful I might spend the rest of my life in prison . He is so inconsiderant of my feelings that if I was crazy I would not be permitted after investigation by state of Nevada to be allowed to have a ccw permit . Only doctors I guess !!!

Rich-I'd make my own point to the AMA and licensing board of NV about the proposed threat of your MD. I dare say if your post is correct, the threat is actually criminal and should be investigated.

It's hard enough concealing a full size pistol. I don't know where I'd put a doctor to haul around.
