Need Glcok 26 help!!! I just did my first detail strip and clean of my glock 26 and got it all back together but now the slide catch keeps locking the slide back no matter what??? What am I missing or what may I have done wrong????

Sounds like your slide stop lever was reinstalled incorrectly. Firearms should not be broken down any further than prescribed by your user manual. User level maintenance is one thing. Anything further often requires special tools and training.Originally Posted by angrypenguin

Problem fixed. I had the lock spring (the one you thumb to let the slide forward after last round) too far under the pin. It was touching the back of the block.... I just had to lift up on the trigger lever a tiny bit to get the pin in with the slide lock spring in the correct position.Gun functions flawlessly now.
I am a do it yourself type guy so I researched a lot before I did this. I wouldn't tell anyone to do this but the Glock is really VERY simple to take completly apart and back together. I can do it in about 5 min now :) I can say I really appreciate the simple yet excellent design of this gun now though!
