I have an XD 40 subcompact, and its one of the nicest pistols I own. Good choice....
Its my everyday carry gun
Hi im a first time pistol owner here just got my license with no restrictions here in good ole NYS. Went picked up the gun I purchased right after i got my license, now it is time to go to the range for the first time. The pistol I got is a XD 40 sub compact. I am very excited, scared, nervous! I am also taking a having" lesson" with the range master so maybe he/she will calm me down.

Welcome and remember, TRAINING-TRAINING-TRAINING. Become familiar with your weapon and never loose respect for the damage it can and will do. Springfield is a good name, 1911's are very reliable. Your anxiety will pass with TRAINING. Again, welcome!

Welcome and sorry that you live in NY.
Now that I said that, practice, practice and the practice. Learn the 4 rules of firearm safety, pass them on to everyone who has access to your firearm and then practice some more.
oh, and welcome again :)
Thanks for the warm welcome! Everything went very well, went through 50 rounds all hit the paper target! The only thing was all grouping low left I think with practice I'll be ok!
Welcome bryan77, you will get better in time.
Welcome from Virginia.
this was the first ever 50 rounds I shot with the extended magazine.
Welcome to the club.
Which county are you from? I'm up in Rensselaer County about to hand my application in, although I was told that they don't like handing out the CCW permits.
