If I recall correctly; their "experienced shooter" was a kid experienced with an Airsoft pistol. He wasn't trained to draw a pistol from concealment, wore an over-sized shirt (greater chance of entanglement of firearm), and wore cumbersome gloves (to ensure fumbling and further delay the presentation of firearm). The deck was stacked to ensure that an effective response to the threat would least likely happen.
