I'm surprised they didn't call in the bomb squad to remove and/or render safe such a henious and serious threat to the safety of the UK!

Is this what happens to Nations that go into "post world power" status? They kind of just wimp away into obscurity?

Some would be surprised how many people in the UK keep arms and ammo. They just don't talk about it for obvious reasons.
Hope we never have to hide it here. BUT another 4 yrs of MaoBama may change that.

That article was most interesting. I never thought I would see the day a grown man would be so afraid of a .22 round that he had to call the police to dispose of it. I went on to read other articles from that same paper and saw where they arrested a gang of hooligans that had been terrorizing older folks. Putting them in prison was considered terrible punishment for the miscreants. If they tried that here on older folks, they would have been put in a grave, period. End of problem. But then people of the UK can't be trusted to arm themselves for their own protection. There were, however, ads in the paper from US organizations on weapons and self protection. Go figure. I would like to see a published fact sheet showing the increase/decrease in crime levels since the Brits disarmed their people and how they would explain an increase. If that is what happens to a "civilized" society, I hope we continue to be uncivilized.
