I really don't have a problem with this, so don't go beating me up for saying this, but it does seem a little weird to me that we go about getting and maintaining a very low profile permit for keeping our weapons concealed but ready, only to post on our vehicles what is essentially an ad that we are carrying? Just seems a little ironic....

I believe it's about advertising that weapons are the norm.

If we all conceal carry (which I do) the general public is not informed at how many people around them carry safely. I have my Life time NRA sticker on vehicle. No cops have ever asked if I had a weapon during a traffic stop. Never had a car jacker or anyone break in to look for a weapon. I have two safes in truck so they better bring bolt cutters. Weapons are on me 95% of the time except in gun free zones.

I believe thats what the open carry objective is all about. Letting the general public see that it's safe and normal to see a person carry.

IMHO, I think these logo stickers are great. I'll have to order some for all my vehicles. As far as advertising to everyone that you are currently armed, I don't see how. These are no different than the GOA & NRA membership stickers or any of the other gun-rights and self-defense stickers that are on my vehicles. The only time that anyone in the general public or even law enforcement is going to know that I am armed is if they see me at any time outside my vehicle or they know me. All the lawman in my area know I am always armed. I stopped & talked to one of the State Patrolman in our area one day when we were headed to the highschool and he thought it was odd that I wasn't carryin until he found out that we were headed to an FFA meeting.

Whats low profile? I've got my states Pro-Gun sticker on my truck as well as the Guns Save Lives sticker. Protect your rights man! NC's got some screwy laws for a Shall Issue state, like certain counties banning OC and such. EXACTLY the type of place these stickers need to be! Why should have to HIDE the fact that you believe in, OR exercise your RIGHTS? Think about it!
