Does anyone own one? I'm looking for first hand accounts please. Not he said/she said. I understand people are in love with said brand names(Colt,Springfield,Kimber,Para etc..). Bottom line is will it work? I found one at a local shop for $450. It's a 45ACP compact. I have always wanted one.

From what I have been able to find so far. If it has Armscor stamped on the barrel it's a good thing. Because they no longer import them into the USA. If that is stamped on the barrel then it should be outstanding quality.
Good thing about the 1911 design is that it was the first "Glock" so to speak. Everyone makes add ones for them even if it's not made for that brand it will work. I can not wait I just keep drooling over it. It's funny because I went to the shop to sell some of my firearms. While I was waiting for payment I started looking around and for some reason this gun just screamed to me.

I just picked up a RIA compact 45. Very nice fit and finish. I cannot wait to go shoot it. The previous owner stated (only 50 rounds through the weapon) that it would not feed HP rounds?
Anyone online have some information on this?
I bought one used last week. Paid $200 for it. I've put about 250 round through it without a problem. It shoots straight and I like it. this is my first 1911, so I don't have a base for comparison but for the money I couldn't be happier. I would suggest you field strip it just to make sure it looks like it has been taken care of.
Rock Islands run $425 here. And my sons is a very nice shooting weapon. I would imagine the High Standard Armscor would be just as nice a weapon. If you been wanting one then grab it before someone else does.
I had a high Standard Double Nine Revolver years ago and it was an excellent gun. To bad it was Stolen.
