Official: Federal agent left weapon behind in El Paso airport restroom

A federal agent apparently left her weapon behind in a restroom at the El Paso International Airport on Tuesday, airport officials said.
Airport spokeswoman Liz Bellegarde said a passenger found the weapon and alerted authorities. The incident is being investigated by airport officials and the Transportation Security Administration. Another airport official told CNN the gun was found in a women's restroom in a "sterile area."
Bellegarde declined to name the agency the agent belonged to.
