I'm more partial to the Heritage Classic, it's made by Harley-Davidson.

Almost. We purchased a Metro Arms American Classic II for my son two Christmas' ago. The gun is well made and has functioned flawlessly with about 3000 rounds through it. If his is any indication of the quality of Metro Arms firearms, it'll be a good gun.

Based on a quick internet search, I found that they are made in the Philippines. Considering how popular and well made the Rock Island Filipino made 1911's are, I'd dare say you've got a dandy pistol there.
