    Default Three BG's Bursting In...Thoughts?

    Just another day in Houston...

Three masked men burst into a crowded Waffle House with guns drawn. They terrorize and rob everyone there.

Looking at the video, it's hard to see how a carrying CHL holder could have done anything except start a bloodbath. One BG, probably. Two BG's, maybe. But three BG's? I think in this case, unless they start shooting, better to keep it concealed.

It's never smart to pick a fight you can't win.

Since we're not cops; our only obligation is to not make things worse.

I remember a real-life tale where the robbers got in first thing in the morning at a restaurant. They had gotten what people expected them to come for, but then they herded everyone into the back room area.
The general feeling was that they were going to execute the few people that were there that they had robbed.
The lone armed citizen in the group opened fire and saved them all from certain death.
I cannot remember the specifics, but it seems to me like there is a time for everything.

If you know it's the end for you all, there is nothing to lose by fighting back. You may not win, but you cannot lose in such a situation.

I remember reading the story. They were being herded downstairs.
I always told my kids that if they were ever confronted by someone with a gun or other weapon and were told to get into the car and go with the bad guy say a quick prayer and run! If the BG wants you somewhere else he doesn't want to do anything to you where you are now. Why give him a better opportunity and more time somewhere else with the same ending outcome.
This is just a general plan. Don't pick it apart. it is for a quick reaction that will hopefully catch the BG off guard.
Having said that, the time to act is when people in a store are being herded somewhere else. That is exactly when and why the CCW acted when he did.
Also, in the article the police did say that when the criminal removes you from one place to another it is usually to eliminate the witnesses to the crime!

Keep it under wraps...collect as much information for LE and keep yourself and others safe and calm. If SHTF and the BG are starting to have a bloodbath then you have a choice to act.

    know your limitations.

Agree with remain calm, if they are moving you it is to eliminate witnesses. Study, Learn, Act. No pat answer what worked here allowing them to leave, may not work, or then again it might. Note, man ran to car to get gun and fired a fleeing truck, they had left and you did not have your weapon at time of robbery.

I concur. You have to be able to read the situation and respond appropriately.
