    Default How do you remove the gas piston for cleaning on an AR-15?

    after how many rounds should the piston be removed and cleaned?

    You will have to state the manufacturer and possibly the model since piston driven ARs have only been around a couple of years and each manufacturer has similar but different designs. You also might try getting an electronic copy of a manual off a manufacturer web sight. Most models I've seen so far involve removing the end cap - gas adjustment at the front of the tube (usually in front of and under the front sight).
