    Default 5.56 Ammo

Has anyone tried the PMC X-TAC 5.56 ammo? I found a deal of 1000 rnds for 289.00. I picked up a few boxes to test them out and they ran without a hitch. These were the 62gr M855/SS109 flavor. I compared them to some of my LC M855 rounds and these seem just as hot. Was wondering if anyone has experienced any problems.

I haven't experienced any problems with this ammo. I have fired around 2,500 rnds of it through my M4 and it shoots very well. No failures of any kind, It also burns very cleanly and less carbon build up then Fed M855. Which is a hard thing to do IMO. I'd say go for it and enjoy it.

PMC is my preferred brand of range rifle ammo. I've never used the X-TAC that you speak of but the other PMC types that I use have been flawless. $289 is an excellent price. I usually pay around $320 for their Bronze stuff.

Have been very happy with the performance. I've never had any problems with the PMC ammo.

Care to share where you found the deal (after you place your order of course).

Here's the link. I have several friends and we purchase and divide.
