How many states require pistol registration?
I know VA,OH,KY do not.

I agree Nightmare45. However, many a thousands upon thousands of federal, state and local laws across this country give a slap to our Bill of Rights. Every single one of them an infringement. "...shall not be infringed" is meaningless to many an otherwise good person as they simply shrug thier shoulders when they run into an area that you cannot "bear arms", or have to pay the government for a permission slip or a registration scheme exists.
Writing letters and making phone calls is getting tedious but I refuse to 'shut up' about it. How about you? Do you shrug your shoulders when you hear of gun registrations, carry bans, caliber restrictions, etc or do you actively fight against such government tyranny?
Those that complain about it to themselves or only go so far as to post thier dislike of such infringements on forums are part of the problem. Would you agree? I'm glad that you to, Nightmare, are actively letting government officials, media (local and national), and business owners know of your support of the Bill of Rights and how our liberty is precious to remaining a strong and free country. ...You are doing that, right?

Back in the '70'S PA required a weapon registered to your permit. Don't know about now. GA and FL doesn't matter what you carry in accordance with your permit.

I am confused by the question -- why would you carry someone else's gun? Don't you have your own? Do you have a permit??? Can you please enlighten me?

I know that NY has a similar system I believe. It seems to be pretty common in the more Northern and less gun friendly States.
