Buy them all, safe queens rule! And now another boring post:

If you are planning to carry either then I'd recommend you ONLY carry one OR the other forever and ever. Why? If you shoot and train with a Glock or any other non-thumb safety and only minimally train with a 1911 then when you are full of adrenaline and cannot even remember your name while being brutally attacked you will FORGET to put the safety off if you carry a 1911 thereby having a club in your hand as you are stabbed over and over. You will be terrified, bleeding and dying right before your loved one's eyes as you yank on the trigger, and yank and yank... Train with one of them, and carry it only. Just my .02.

I have to agree with Tuts on this one, if you want multi handguns at least stay with same manufacter due to safetys, this is what I have done tjat way if I want a 9 or 45 or any of my pistols all operatev the same and NO FARTING AROUND in the dark !

Buy some ammo. And give yourself a gift card for Christmas in one of the best ranges around. Or gift yourself with a pump up advanced class. It will not only help you but also keep the dollars in this country instead of buying something made in China or Korea or some other foreign country. Just a thought. This year buy something American.

LOL, it never ends. I bought a G21, then a Walther 380, just picked up a SW 40, and just traded for a mossberg 500 home defense. Love guns, now just to re-scope my 270, pick up the 308 I want and then the AR, I will set. Well, and then there is stocking up on ammo.

Buy a years worth of food and water first, use the guns you have to protect it. Then when you have food, ammo for the first guns, you can splurge on more guns. Without food stocks, you will have to "bite the bullet".

I agree with carry the same gun and practice. But not keeping the same line. I usually carry a Glock but love 1911 guns. I would easily carry a 1911 but I prefer a higher round count. A 1911 would be my next choice.

I think a .45 1911 would be a perfect addition. My perfect handgun lineup would be,

    Sig 238
Glock ( insert number here )
    1911
