Have had my Ultra Raptor for a year now. Over 1000 rounds so far and no issues. Is it better than other makes? Some yea, some nay. Simply like the gun for CCW and don't feel like I need worry if a time ever comes to use it, plus it looks good to boot.

I have a plain Jane UC.45 with night sights, it's the older UC Kimber with the external extractor. Works great shoots great but I don't use it for CCW.

I carry a TLE/RL II 90% of the time, I hot the gun as my 21st birthday present from my dad right at a year ago. I have put about 750 rounds through it and have not had a problem. I use Wilson Combat and the Kimber pro-tac mags in it. Love it, looking to buy another 1911 it will be a Kimber unless I can afford a true custom gun.

I really like my Kimber.Have an Ultra carry II. Put about 1500 or so rnds thru it but every once in a while....fail to fully feed. After living with it I don't want to die with it and I am finally sending it back to them as soon as I get their return authorization tonite. With that said, the fit and finish is excellent, it is a pleasure to shoot and hopefully when i get it back it will be fine. May take 4 or so weeks but that gives me an excuse to buy another one. Maybe a Super Carry Pro. Watcha think?? Glutten for punishment or just looking for an excuse?

Have you installed a new recoil spring? They do cause problems when they get weak. I keep a spare on hand for my UCII.45.

The ftf has been an issue since the beginning so I believe there may be a little more to it. I didn't want to play with it the first year of ownership. After the first year I will do modificaions but until then it is their problem.

Only Kimber we own is a 1911 ARF .22. Wouldn't mind a Kimber 1911 GM in .45 but the Tauruses win pricewise.
