Default NJ Turnpike, what state to choose?

I am going to around the New Jersey Turnpike next year and from the looks of it, I can pretty much choose a state. I heard that NJ might not be the best choice for a CCW. How is Delaware? How about PA? What would be a best option from around 20 min commute from Salem Community College?

Pennsylvania by all and any means. Lived there for the better part of my life. Beautiful state. friendly people (outside of Philadelphia city) and some really great hunting. Very gun friendly place.

Not sure about Delaware but you might want to check the gun laws there.

New Jersey? Damn! Couldn't you get into another school in another state? What about West Chester State College in Pa?

Delaware is a "may issue state". I lived there for 15 years and for the life of me couldn't get a permit. You need to show a need (just self defense is not enough), gather signatures of at least three citizens that will testify to your character, get fingerprinted, background check, and submit the package to the state. A judge decides whether you get a permit or not.
The only person I know that got a permit was a jeweler whose store was robbed twice.

NJ is not a good choice for a CCW. If I recall correctly you have to have.good caise.and.appear before.a.judge without a lawyer while the procesuting attorney can argue against a permit.

NJ has denied someone who was abducted twice because he didnt have a good cause.

You can FORGET getting a CCW in Jersey. It WILL NOT happen. Do not even think of carrying a firearm in Jersey unless you want your education to be a GED aquired from Rahway State Prison. Find a nice college in Pennsylvania. You will be much happier not being Bubba's girlfriend and maid.

    Default no CCW in Nj

There is about a zero chance of a NJ CcW you can carry in PA with FL or UT but you can't bring your firearm into NJ unless you are going to a range or traveling through. There are a litany of awful laws in NJ but I can tell you if you have a gun locked and cased in your trunk on a college campus you can get 5-7 yrs in states prison

While DE isn't the best...Its far from the worst. Take it any day over the People's Republik of NJ

    Where do you reside?
Do you have a permit to carry a gun?
    If so, from what state?

Those questions aside, Travelling with a firearm in your vehicle in New Jersey can lead to big legal problems, even if you are a resident there.

come to pa, we have almost no gun restrictions here, you can oc/cc as you wish and depending on the county you could have your ltcf(license to carry firearms) here in pa the same day you change the address on your license but if your from a state that has and agreement w/ pa, i say just let your address remain their and carry on...

Funny to me. Voluntarily going to school in such a lefty anti-gun area and then wondering about CCW.
