    Default Home Invasion

Five or six weeks ago a homeowner here shot and killed two young men when they broke into his home. An inditement for manslaughter has just been handed down for the get away driver and another accomplice. Sounds like they got it right this time.

Close, should be 2 counts of murder but a lot better then most self defense shootings. Thanks for sharing this courts actually punishing the criminals always puts a smile on my face.

Too bad the body count wasn't four. Wouldn't have to worry about them doing it again nor would the tax payers have to pay for their incarceration.

Saying things like that could really put you in a bind if you ever had to use your weapon.

If it had happened here in Tulsa I am betting our D.A. Tim Harris, would have charged the home owner with murder. He is such a firearm lover for non law enforcement.

The proper use of a self-defense weapon is to merely stop the threat. Once the
threat has been stopped, you MUST stand down.

If you were ever in a situation that the D.A. thought was suspect, they might happen upon a post that you made stating you wished more people would have died in a similar incident. He/She could use that post against you in a court of law saying that you favor excessive use of force. Courts don't like vigilantes.

Always better to be cautious rather than cavalier with your posts. You never know
when it might come back to shoot you in the butt.

In the current legal environment. That it changeable, not an absolute.

As I found out last year one never knows what the District Attorney will do, and you can bet if they feel the slightest chance of putting you in prison, they surly will try doing just that.
