To ALL those in CT, with shorter waiting times; How long ago (?Year) and what town, city or borough did you apply in?

I don't know where you live but it was 50°F here in MO and the sun was brightly shining and we had a bar-B in the backyard. Beers floating and everyone just stayed put after.

Anyway, our limit here in MO for CCW is 45 days but we got ours way before the time limit. FL -- two weeks. Jeezzzzzzzzhhhhhh it must be a pain the butt waiting 11 weeks (and counting...) to be able to protect you and yours! Would it hurt your chances if you inquire?

My 60 day took 8 weeks back in July. My wife's has been over 11 (and still waiting) and the PD are being very rude about it...claiming there is a state backlog and not telling us any more info like actual dates of background checks, etc.

We are in New Milford, CT.

Some of us would like a little cool weather here. I have to mow the grasss today. Wednesday it is to be cooler. A high of only 74°F then as compared to 81°F today.

As for the OP's 11 week wait, that is a bit ridiculous. Florida had some lag time when Obama got elected but that has dropped.

NICS gun approval checks however were a slow process before Christmas this year. Call ins were showing about 30 approval numbers per agent between checks while on the phone. And up to 30 minutes wait to get thru. When the gun shops got thru, they were limited to 5 checks per call due to the volume.

30 minute wait...seems like a perfect excuse for our local PDs to not be bothered and then call it a "delay"...
