Good on her for being alert...!!! I would have done the same if I were in her shoes. Families -- first and foremost everyone legally allowed to carry should protect.

Good for her but I'll bet that the anti-gun Philly police come down on her.

I feel for the mother. I will say that this is a good example of a situation where I think the mother and daughter should not have said anything to the police without a lawyer representing them. In these situations, the police and prosecutor are never your friends. I hope against hope that she comes out of this without charges of manslaughter or whatever other nonsense the prosecutor may dream up.

I hope we can somehow get updates on this situation. I really fear for the welfare of the mother.

Not say anything to the police? Are you kidding?! That is absolutely the worst thing I've ever heard.

Can you imagine what that basement would smell like if the police weren't called to pick up the remains of the BG?

    Whew!!!

The nanny state police and prosecutor probably would like to send her to the chair for murdering that "poor miscreant youth" And just as he was turning his life around, no doubt.

Sounds like she shot three times. Good shooting. (If that was her.) Still, it only sounds like 4 rounds fired.
