    Default Ruger SR9

I'm thinking about buying a Ruger SR9. I have an opportunity to pick one up for just over $400. Does anyone have any experience with this gun?

    Thanks

It was the first handgun I bought on my 21st birthday. It's a great gun, my only gripe with is was the trigger was a bit much. Personally I like a lighter trigger for accuracy and any kind of rapid shooting. I replaced the trigger bar with a ghost trigger and have never had a problem, the pull of the trigfer is nice and smooth.

I own one and think its a fine gun. I added the crimson laser and it's very accurate.

I have one and it is great. Very comfortable to hold and use and very easily concealed. I carry mine every day almost all day long. That is a good price from what I have seen. I got mine through a barter deal with a firearms dealer. When I got mine they sold for around $500 everywhere that I saw them.

I purchased an SR9C (the all black one) awhile back for a very nice price. Not quite as good as $400 out the door, but close.

Not owning any other firearms I really don't have a comparison, but, I love my pistol. I try and go to the range at least twice a month to attain some decent markmanship skills.

Bottom line, Ruger has some good products. Try going to a range that rents guns and see if they have one to rent and shoot it. Best way to see if you'll like it.

Recently purchased an sr9. I have only run about 175-200 rds. Thru it so far. It seems to be doing well. I had 3-4 consecutive failure to feed properly in my second magazine. After that, not a problem at all. If you are thinking of the stainless, they scratch and mar very easy. (if cosmetics are a concern)

I had an SR9c that I really liked. Sold it for about what your looking at. Replaced it with a Glock for continuity of operation and interchangeability of mags. I don't regret my choice but I do miss the pistol. If this is the way you decide to go I think you have made a good choice.

Carrying the SR9C and really like it. It's a reliable gun that conceals easily. I have not had any failures to load or eject and have run 500+ rounds through it.

Well, I just put $100 down on the Ruger. Gotta love layaway!

I should pick it up in about 3 weeks when I pay it off. That'll make pistol #3 for my collection...a .45, a .38, and now a 9mm. Thats the most I've ever owned at one time before. Next comes a 12 gauge.
