    Default Man Hospitalized After Being Shot in Foot by Homeowner Who Caught Him Breaking In

    Eddington, Maine - A man has been charged with burglary after a homeowner caught him breaking into his home.

    Authorities say a family returned to their Eddington home Saturday afternoon and discovered 30-year-old Darren Seidell inside.

    They say the homeowner confronted Seidell and shot him in the foot as he fled.

    He was later located in a house across the street.

    Police say Seidell has a criminal history.

    He was taken to the hospital and is now being held at Penobscot County Jail on $20,000 bail.

    I say Job Well Done, The Dad that shot this guy in the foot had Permit to Carry Concealed Firearms, and shot the guy with a 9mm. His family is safe and the bad guy is behind bars.

    A Bangor man is being held on $50,000 bail on burglary charges.
    Darren Seidell, 30, was in court Monday afternoon via video conference.
