Free Americans don't have to ask their government's permission to exercise a right, and free Americans certainly do not have to pay a tax in order to obtain that permission.

People have been conditioned to believe it's a "Dangerous Right". "Dangerous Rights" require permission so they have to ask permission... And take a test, and pay a fee... WAKE THE HELL UP!!!!

I personally disagree with both you and NavyLCDR on 822 being a good solution to reciprocity issues, but I like the way both of you present your arguments, and just had to "Like" a post that quotes Zappa in the context of a pro-gun topic and have it make sense.

Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to Police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

So why is it that we can't possibly (according to the current administration and DOJ) have a patchwork of state level immigration laws in the US, but we can have a patchwork of gun laws? Hypocrisy.

So eager to dismiss the possibility of real change? Why has that become the rhetoric of so many gun owners?

Dead fish go with the flow...
Well, I'm no dead fish. I don't go with the flow. I tell the truth about the state of affairs. And the truth is that recent federal court decisions, including Heller and McDonald, have ruled that denial of the right to carry is not a denial of the second amendment. The courts have cited a long history of this and no where can it be found that "bear arms" equals "carry." Don't flame me... this is American history. plain facts.

I respect everyone's statements about "the people" revolting against these laws but experience tells me it just won't happen. This ountry elected Obama. Think about that. They did it knowing his record on socialism, hatred of white America and an anti-gun position. They won't come out from behind their iPhone long enough to do anything. They don't even understand the mess they're actually in. They're living paycheck to paycheck and are buried in kids, bills, work demands and stress. The days of successful American activism are over. The average American is dead from the neck up.

In agreement with you I must say it's really quite sad, what we've evolved to.
