An absolute classic. When I was a kid and shooting my single-shot Savage, I always dreamed of upgrading to the 10/22. One of my older cousins had one so I settled for shooting his as often as I could. It was a great snake rifle for my uncle's farm in central Kentucky.

Yeah, I've had problem with some of the cheap, off-brand extended mags but the new Ruger manufactured BX-25 magazines work great. Solidly made with metal parts like the standard 10-round rotary mags. I've only put a few 100 rounds through one but no problems yet so I ordered a second one.

My 10/22 was bought for me the day after i was born im 44 an still have it. Have had small issues with it, an one major sent it back to the factory they repaired an semt back to me no cost. Every time i shoot it i thank my grandpa for my gift he got me the day i was born. I figured out one time, almost 20,000 rounds average fired per year between me and my grandkids. Mu first born grandson will keep it going when im gone.

Also a fan!! This gun is dependable, fun and a blast to shoot. Easy on the wallet as well. Never any problems from mine in years. Great platform with tons of options.

My brother has had one since 1975 and it still works perfectly, I know there are a lot of you that have had them longer but my brother didn't inherit the gun cleaning gene like I did he not only hasn't cleaned it since he got it, but will occasionaly dump some 30 weight oil into the action when "she starts acting up" I shot it a couple weeks ago I couldn't believe how good it still shoots. BTW I clean mine every time I shoot it, guess like a lot of brothers we have our differences

Thank God you guys are different in that aspect!! And several others! I don't think I ever want to shoot with your brother again! Plus having his finger on the trigger all the time scared the crap out of me!!
