Default Should You Consider Owning A Suppressor

It's on my wish list when funds become available. Here's an article why you should consider one if you live in a state where the law allows them.

You Should Consider Owning A Silencer (Suppressor) : Personal Liberty Digest™
"Those who would trade liberty for security, deserves neither liberty nor security."
"The original point and click interface was a Smith & Wesson".

Gun shop and range I sometimes use is a Class 3 dealer. A DS that works there even made it a point that if I wanted a suppressor or full auto weapon, we could go over to a lawyer to setup the gun trust and then go meet the CLEO to cover that part. Some areas are very suppressor friendly. Others are anti to the 10th degree.

Call me lame, but I don't see the need for a suppressor. It's just the opposite of what you'd want in self defense, if your defending you or your family you want to draw attention. Is there a hunting application to suppressors? I guess it sounds like a lot of running around for you, just to buy something cool. By the way I do think having a suppressor would be cool, just not practical.

I am looking at getting one. My reason is for home defense. In a situation where I would need to shoot, I don't want to have to worry about damaging my, or my kids ears with a loud gun blast in a confined area. Granted if the BG fires, it will still be loud, but still will be alright on my end. The second part and reason, is because it would be fun to have and shoot. That is part of the reason why I go and shoot my guns. To have fun.

Only if he misses you. Hopefully he will. Getting shot at will rattle anyone's nerves.

I think for many if not most shooting purposes a suppressor would be a great idea. Government in it's usual insanity has chosen to make an item that should cost less than $10 cost well over $200 causing great amounts of hearing damage at the same time. There is no reason to regulate suppressors and every reason to insist on their use during practice.
