What?? Driver License Reciprocity? I feel exactly the same on that subject. What area NOT SPECIFICALLY given to the Federal for jurisdiction remains the power of THE STATE. Please read ALL of the Federalist papers/writings.

I too, will sell you a membership for the NRA at a discount because of other benefits I get for being affiliated. Yet, I have several instances in my own State that NRA was/is backing anti-gun politicians & legislation even after having been notified by 000s that they were backing the wrong side (ie; Sharon Angle vs. Harry Reid, Jackie Knots vs SC GRGR).
Your missing the whole point of the informational 30 minute broadcast? If you read back through some of the posts...information about "State by State" legislation, laws, information etc...were mentioned? I'm pretty sure we understand that the change has to be done at the State level. Which is precisely why this idea would be so significant. How many people have you encountered outside the firearms community,.."John Q Public"...that haven't a clue to their rights under the second amendment, or their own State Constitution?

This television show could be the catalyst for bringing about changes to State's such as Ill. and Cal. by way of a more informed and educated public? Nobody wants their rights oppressed, violated, or diminished because of political agendas. The message is not be told to the masses.

And unless you have an outdoorsman/hunting type channel with informative firearms programming, John Q. Public isn't seeing or hearing the message? Change begins with education first. Electing the right people into political office comes next. As a matter of fact....I'd like to see televised profiles of political candidates, and where they stand on the 2nd Amendment, and individual gun rights. I'd like to know how previously elected politicians have voted on firearms issues while they were in office? Let's just cut to the heart of it! Research, provide fact-based information, and televise it to the mainstream.

If Victoria's secret is such a secret, then why does she have a store in the mall, and a commercial on television? Our rights are being trivialized, trampled, diminished, and otherwise disregarded due to negative news media, propogaded by a flurry of anti-gun activists, and uneducated citizens who continue to elect politicians that do the same? Why not put the fiction about firearms to rest once and for all? Remember, I'm not a criminal because I exercise my rights. I'm a sheep for letting fictional information about my rights to be propogaded!

I'd like to see 3 ten minute segments of a 30-minute show as follows:

    1) 10 minutes on National and State Firearms news stories, laws being legislated, and the names of the politicians who are sponsoring voting for a pro-gun bill; as well as the politicians who are voting against it.

    2) 10 minutes on public interviews with people from all walks of life. Asking them questions about their State's gun laws, and how they feel about the 2nd Amendment. Honestly and fairly. There's going to be people who just don't have a clue? This is where the uneducated begin to learn the truth through fact-based information.

    3) 10 minutes profiling both pro/anti gun politicians. Let their past voting and future campaign promises be shown. Allow them to be guest on the show explaining some type of gun legislation they are for or against, and allow them to explain why? Politicians who are unwilling participants won't come on the show. Advise us of this! What do these politicians have to hide anyway? That's a public office they were elected to. Anything that is being legislated on C-Span can be explained here as well can't it?

Allow show sponsors to buy commerical segments targeted towards fact-based gun information that is beneficial to the truth in firearms, firearms legislation, and promotional information about firearms safety courses, conceal carry classes, and firearms safety for the home. Show the public that firearms are not for the criminals, but are for hunting and shooting sport recreation, as well as for personal/home protection against the threat of serious personal injury and, or death, at the hands of an attacker.

Good idea. I would like to see a regular program paid for by sponsors on the History Channel (or similar type network) than a infomercial type platform. They could do segments like the American Riflemans "the armed citizen". Safety and training programs, all paid for by sponsors, that would benifit from more Americans exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. Sounds like a new business opportunity. We to have a responsibility to educated friends and neighbors. Recently I asked a store owner, that had posted a NO WEAPONS sign in the door way, why the sign? She gave me her reasons and I replied to her concerns. She admitted that a short time after posting the sign, an armed robber put a gun to the head of one of her clerks. She understood the sign had not worked, and law abiding citizens might find another store where they were allowed to protect themselves. I left her thinking, and that is a start. We must spread the word, and lead by example.
