Technically, the guns arent reigistered, the transfers are. So, if i fill out a FA-10, then sell the gun to a dealer and the gun goes out of state, the paper tail with regard to mass ends with me. Even if i sell you a gun and FA-10 it, then that gun is attached to both of us. They are never deleted so guns you dont even own can still be associated with you. Then again its totaly possible to own a gun that was never "registered" with the state that they know nothing about. Its a waste of their time to come looking, and I would think they would need a warranylt on something more than "your honor, his license expired and we think he has icky evil guns still can we raid him please". You could have sold them to a dealer out of state and as far as mass knows, you still own them. Welcome to the bureaucratic waste of time and $ that is the CHSB.Swsd40, not just ammo...components as well. Spent .22 brass? License. Primers? License. Pepper spray is also classed as "ammo" . License.

ARV, If thats the way it is in Mass, (no, i dont know the laws of EVERY state) then I am glad I have no real desire to go to or move to Mass. and yea, I do agree that it would be a waste of time and money to go knocking on doors looking for expired licenses/weapons/components/bb guns/slingshots/spud launchers. Not knocking your state, but thanks for insite.

On that note, did you know that in Massachusetts you need an FID card to buy a Wrist Rocket? I'm not originally from Massachusetts but it is putting food on my table but can't wait to retire so I can move back home to Arkansas!
