Mistake maybe? Can't think of how it might make sense otherwise.
I wanted to get my hands on a Glock in .380 auto, but according to Glock's own website it's only available to LEO's...
WTF?

Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to Police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.
Scratch that thought...
Apparently the Glock's .380 pistols dimensions are exactly the same as either the Glock 19, Glock 26 & Glock 27. Doesn't seem to make much sense to me to even want to consider carrying the smaller .380 round if the sidearm itself is not going to be more concealable.
A consumer fail by Glock i.m.h.o.
I think that a 'smaller framed' Glock in .380 auto would definately be a very hot ticket item.

Don't worry....it won't be long 'til they're available to civilians one way or another. There's no law stopping a middle-man from selling to non-LEOs, or a LEO from selling one to you. I know enough cops to get one if I wanted (2 are in the fantasy football league I run).

That's very true!
But personally I would prefer a smaller framed Glock pistol in .380 auto over the less recoil.
I actually like it when there's a little 'snap' to my sidearms 'bite'.
I could even see a smaller framed Glock in .380 auto making it's big 'Hollywood Debut' in the next James Bond or Mission Impossible films. Now that would be pretty cool i.m.o.

I wanted to pick one up. Guess that ain't happening. I dont think it's glock. It's gotta be those whacky anti gun, wild kamoda dragon hugging group stopping it.

I think this is the answer:

Only the government can import them.
I almost quoted your OP as saying you wanted to get your hands on one, and then just say, "Why?" after visiting your link. I noticed the dimensions while I was there, and the weight wasn't competitive with any other .380 I've ever considered buying either. But I figured to each his own, you had your reasons, and didn't comment on that.
I still think it's either a mistake, or perhaps ordering directly from Glock brings in restrictions on us proletariat concerning importing of weapons? I don't know, but it doesn't seem right in any case.
