    Default Smart bullet

Way cool! Might even allow one to shoot accurately while in toxicated. ;)

Seriously, would something that travels so fast really work if its laser guided which I assume is by the person with the firearm? Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense unlike a smart bomb.

Intoxicated? If you have to hold a laser on target I wouldn't want too much coffee. :)

Reference to other topic . . . but I just can't see how a bullet travel whatever actual speed is going to be assisted by a moving identifying laser. I'm sure these engineers and scientist are smarter than me but seems that it would only serve to make the bullet miss except for the longest of long shots maybe.

I guess I'm a little traditional and think this is a stupid idea. Wouldn't it be better to just let marksmanship and training do the work with traditional cartridges? It's worked for a long time now.

Laser guided missiles I can see it beneficial. Rifle ammo, not so much.

Laser guided is so lame...its all about the heat seeking rounds!

    Kidding aside..

I agree with mojo...unless the target is far enough (say 2 second air time), how will you be able to control it in such a short time span? Even at 2 seconds...the bullet will be approximately 1.5 miles away...can you keep the laser on target that far away?

Then again, this assumes the laser comes from the rifle. What if the laser comes from another device? One team has the laser, only needs to be within 100 yards, .50 bmg shoots from 2 miles away with incredible accuracy.
God gets blamed for a lot of things now days, they ask “why would He let this happen?, Why doesn’t He stop it? I really don’t know, but I wonder if He wants to ask us the same questions. All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing
