This is fantastic:

"Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" as said by those incapable of its proper application and as such suffer from it a lot.
I'd like to know what the daughters' response was.
I'm 100% with the dad. Ingratitude is a terrible character flaw. The daughter has no idea what a hard life is like.
War to the Knife, Knife to the hilt.
If we don't want to live in a trashy area, we all have to be willing to help pick up the trash.
The father's a Jackass. He went way overboard. Look at him in the video. He's about a gnatsass away from breaking a spring. He just dumped $150 into the laptop plus his time and effort and then he shoots it up??
His daughter was blowing off steam. How many of us have dome the same thing? Did you listen to what the daughter said in the post? If half of what she said was true the parents are keeping her in servatude. How many of you had to make and pour you parent coffee like you were some kind of waiter? Making her own bed and cleaning her room okay! But making all the beds and cleaning up after everyone? Nah! Sounds like the girl had some legitimate complaints!
The father posts the ridicule of his daughter on YouTube for crying out loud. Regardless of what that red neck thinks, Facebook is a closed medium. Youtube is wide open to the public.
It wouldn't surprise me if the next thing we hear about is daddy in the hospital with mysterious gun shot wounds he got in the middle of the night.

My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are.

IMHO, and not knowing anything more than what the news will provide and what was available from them via youtube and facebook, it may be that the daughter has no clue regarding being a responsible and mature adult. She has about zero chance, however, to learn those skills from her father it would seem.

That video confirms that not every person of adult age should be a parent.
When a parent responds to a child with anger they have just marked the limit of their maturity.
Sad.

Oh, I suppose sitting down discussing the issue would have been better? Sitting little missy in the corner for a timeout? Telling her she was a bad girl for such things and should not be that way? I would venture a guess that corporal punishment in school and in the home is out of the question also? Paaaaleeeeeeze!!!!! The major problem with children today is no fear of consequences for anything they do. His actions were extreme? No, I think his actions were justified. He paid for the laptop. He paid for the upgrades. He pays for her food, shelter, school, clothing, etc etc etc. Sounds to me like a typical ungrateful selfish teenager who wants to whine about everything but what she thinks her life should be like. Total disrespect for her parents, and everything they do for her. Maybe if more parents took some "extreme" measures with their children's attitudes and actions, a lot of the b.s. that goes on, wouldn't. I don't condone any violence beyond using that real meaty part of a childs ass to jump start their brains. My dad was an expert with a green switch on mine, and believe me....that will wake you up and make you think!!! My daughter is 30 and I can mention using a switch and she will sit on the couch and not move. Abuse? Hell no!!! I was not abused, I don't hate my dad (God rest his wonderful soul, I don't hate my mother, I am not a social misfit, I am not a drug addict, I am not a bum or whatever else you want to say corporal punishment at home will do to a child. I got my ass spanked in school too!!!! Guess what?? When I got it busted....I DIDN'T DO THAT AGAIN!!!!! I was well aware of the consequences for doing bad/wrong things. Maybe it is time to make today's little angels aware of the same. Maybe take the damn video game controller out of their hands, make them mow the lawn, clean the house, work in a garden, or something else that is little known in their worlds....WORK!!! They are gonna have a tough time without mom and dad when the time comes....no better time to learn work ethic, morals, responsibility, and fear of consequences when acting irresponsible. Who the hell else is gonna teach em? Some quality time in church thrown in won't hurt either.
My hat is off to him, I gave him a standing ovation. More parents need "over react" as he did. I would have done the same........cept I would have used a 12 gauge. Ok, begin the bbq as me as the main course.
Gun free zones are safe havens...........for criminals.
Laws govern the lesser man, Morals govern the greater man.
There are obviously people here who do NOT HAVE TEENAGERS! YOU have NO CLUE! Now, if you were blessed with great kids, then you were, well, blessed. Be thankful. I have seen the other side. Making your bed, making sure the dishes are off the counter and sweeping the floor is nothing. My experience tells me, they were her dishes any way.
Dad may have been off base, but he was perfectly justified in doing whatever he wanted. He wanted to make the point. He did. I am glad he is laying down the law. My dad busted my butt a time or two and I never forgot it. (I won't have a willow tree in my yard to this day!)
When my older one was turned 18, my wife and I threw his crap out in the front yard. He thought he could do whatever he wanted to do too. It took about 10 days for him to figure out that he couldn't just do whatever he wanted.
