She should have told the shooter that it's illegal to have a gun in NYC without a permit. Maybe she could get him to turn himself in. Defending herself would be too over the top.

She certainly has that liberal "I can reason with a thug" mentality. She and her cousin are alive through luck alone and the odds are they haven't changed their minds on anything.
NYC obviously needs more gun laws.
