A few months back, a rider with passenger passed me (in my Jeep) as traffic was coming in the opposite lane, squeezing between the both of us. Then it happened again, not twice, but THREE times, as the entire group waited for oncoming traffic, then squeezed in. I don't know if they thought I was going too slow or what, but they had Canadian plates, and Canadians seem to have a lot of trouble going slow enough or fast enough around here. At any rate, I thought for sure one of them would bite it. Maybe it was some kind of stupid dare?

And of course people pull out in front of me when I'm on my bike all the time, but being a girl, I usually get "Nice bike" or "Whoo."

mellophonium, when I was on vacation in France, pretty much every motorcycle rode the lines between cars. We'd be doing 70, and they'd fly between us and the car next to us doing at least 100.

I once saw a guy shaving AND reading the newspaper. Saw a lady blow drying her hair, and countless others putting on eye makeup in the rear view mirror.

When I was much younger my girlfriend explained that she bought a car with an automatic transmission expressly for the purpose of putting on her makeup on the way to work!

I have been riding old motorcycles for over 40 yrs. (Indians, Harleys, foot shift, handshift, left throttle, right throttle.) If I took out every idiot that intentionaly cut me off for not going fast enough or just for jollies, there would be a pile of bodies in my wake. I just flip 'em the bird and laugh like an idiot. Everyone from old ladies to truck drivers to housewives in a hurry to the food mart to punks in their little jap race cars. I just gave up letting it bother me too much. Can't catch them on my old junk anyhow. Treo, at least you HAVE brakes. LOL. Always have my Sig P238 in my right pocket of my jacket tho when riding.

Used to carry in a shoulder holster when riding. Have had some hair raising experiences but never pulled it. As a good bud once said--" there are very few situations that swallowing a bit of pride or walking away will not solve the problem". One never knows what provokes someone else to be rude, obnoxious, or even deadly and we just happen to be there to take it out on.
