gun control is being able to hit your target
Good info. It's been about a year since my wife and I spent an evening practicing disarming each other. I think we're about due for another date night here soon...

This video is one of my favorites on YouTube.
You need to be careful because some YouTube videos can get you killed.
This is a fairly simple "inside" disarm technique. (Simple is good!) However, you need to practice it 100's of times with a qualified person/instructor.
Personally, I tend to use "outside" disarms. I find outside techniques to be a bit easier for someone like me who is disabled. Using an outside disarm seems to allow "me" to maintain better balance while making it easier to take the attacker down.
I also think "outside" disarms can help create more distance & time to mount a counter with my own firearm; and/or escape; while making it more difficult for the BG to grab me & force me in to a grappling match.
Not only do I want to disarm an assailant, I also want to keep him from grabbing me or knocking me to the ground "IF" at all possible.
(I find "outside" techniques help me accomplish both of these goals more effectively.)
Great find "e"!
Thanks for posting it.
