A high-ranking Mexican drug cartel operative currently in U.S. custody is making startling allegations that the failed federal gun-walking operation known as “Fast and Furious” isn’t what you think it is.
"It wasn’t about tracking guns, it was about supplying them" — all part of an elaborate agreement between the U.S. government and Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa Cartel to take down rival cartels.
The explosive allegations are being made by Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, known as the Sinaloa Cartel’s “logistics coordinator.” He was extradited to the Chicago last year to face federal drug charges.
Zambada-Niebla claims that under a “divide and conquer” strategy, the U.S. helped finance and arm the Sinaloa Cartel through Operation Fast and Furious in exchange for information that allowed the DEA, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies to take down rival drug cartels. The Sinaloa Cartel was allegedly permitted to traffic massive amounts of drugs across the U.S. border from 2004 to 2009 as long as the intel kept coming.

if this is true, then we know there is a hell of a lot more to F & F .. none of it any good for the POTUS ..
know wonder he pulled "National Security" card from his sleeve ..
kind of makes sense now, since they didn't have any tracking "toys" on the guns ..
they were trying to kill a few birds with one stone ..
let them wipe each other out .. while cutting drug traffic from all but one supplier, which would make it easier to control and still have a source of income to fiance other covert ops ..
also messing with the 2nd A .. make us look bad .. so they get more gun restrictions in, because they know the natives are getting restless ..
ahhh, what a nasty web our Gov't weaves ..

gun control is being able to hit your target

Kind a like pitting shot gunners against pistol shooters, CCW'ers against home defense, hunters against AR-15's etc.a “divide and conquer” strategy
A proven strategy. It worked in England and Australia.
I still say that FnF was the brainchild of Rahm Emanuel as a way to create a crisis that required legislation or executive order.

wow....that would make sense of the "executive priviledge" stance. no wonder they want to push this down the road to after the election. i don't think even the most die hard liberal would condone that.....wait, they can probably come up w/something to make it for the common good. there seems to be a pattern forming about this administration of jsut doing whatever they want and then denying all knowledge. disregarding existing law and bypassing the constitution. we really need to get rid of this administration. i hope the rest of america wakes up and votes him out of office before it is too late. how can so many be so blind?
Hillbilly proud.... you have a problem with that?
who cares what the reason was,,its a crime against this country ,jail for all of them
AND, regardless of their original intent, they have also been using it to push for gun control.
One of Tom Clancy's most recent book was about a scheme where the government supplied weapons and other resources to one Mexican cartel so the other one would get wiped out. It didn't work out so well in the book, either.
