I am not limp wristing. I have been shooting competitively for a long time and the same issue happens when range officials shoot it too. So that is not the issue.
Then I'd have to look to lubrication. What are you using for lube and where are you applying it?

This is a known issue with the PX4 compact. Beretta has posted a fix:
