The following quote by Jeff cooper was on the USCCA News letter. You can incert handgun for rifle, the point is still the same and a very good one.

Jeff Cooper's "Cooper on Handguns" is a must read for everyone that carries a handgun. Col. Cooper was a very intelligent man.
