Insane Petition Calls for the White House to Declare NRA and RMEF Terrorist Groups:

    by Natalie Krebs

Another absurd anti-hunting campaign has surfaced, and this time activists are demanding the White House declare all "anti-predatory animal" organizations as domestic terrorist groups. You might be surprised by who makes this list.

The online petition specifically names organizations like the National Rifle Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Safari Club International. The petition states:

"Groups like Lobo Watch, Big Game Forever, Idaho Anti-Wolf Coalition, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, NRA, Safari Club, etc., are a menace in our midst. Not only do many of them want our native predators like bears, wolves, wild cats, and the like decimated to the brink of extinction, but some of them have the nerve to harass, threaten, and downright intimidate anyone who dares to oppose them, even the government. And they've got some powerful people in their corner, too. They throw their mammoth monetary weight around, and think they can buy their way into power in America and put down anyone who's got a backbone and might provide resistance. It's time to put these groups in their place and strike them down. Time to protect our carnivorous wildlife from those who seek to decimate them!"

Even if you go along with logic behind this petition (for argument's sake only of course) the facts are just not there. Here's what the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation actually has to say about predators in North America...

"The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation supports the science-based management of wolves and other predators. We fully embrace the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation, which holds that fish and wildlife belong to all citizens and are to be scientifically managed through hunting and other means, so thriving populations can be sustained forever."

Not exactly a terroristic threat, if you ask me.

The petition currently has about 500 signatures, and it needs 25,000 by December 20 to even receive an official response from the Obama administration. No single activist group appears responsible for the campaign. According to Infowars.com, a number of activists are promoting the petition via social media.

I wouldn't worry too much about that petition. As of now, it has 606 "signatures," and it's been up since Nov. 20. It expires on Dec. 20 and still needs 24,394 sigs to be "considered" by the White House. My odds of single-handedly making wolves extinct are better than them getting 24,000+ signatures in 11 days.
I pray for peace. Peace and justice. If we can't have both, I choose justice.

I "almost" wish it would happen, then we could get down to business.

Just start a counter petition to name PETA a terrorist group. They conduct a lot more malicious behavior and 25,000 signatures should certainly can very easy.

Oh I am not worried there Blues, I just wanted to point out the asinine mentality of people today. It's definitely some kind of sickness and I don't know if it's air-borne, blood-borne or in the water/food supply. I pray no one here gets it including myself.

Remember the liberal, Obama-backing group ACORN and its blatantly fraudulent voter registration campaign a few years ago? Well, don't underestimate the ability of this group or any other far left Obama-backing group to muster the 24,000+ signatures it needs.

PETA was long known for being one of the biggest supporters & contributors to the ELF, Earth Liberation Front, a terrorist organization responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars of ARSON damages in the northwest. PETA is a terrorist group.
    You can look it up.
