I may not need it every second but unless you are clairvoint I doubt that you can predict when you will need it. I can't so I carry everywhere all the time. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. As far as states that do not allow guns at all that is one of the reasons I do not live in those states.

Thank you all for the great information and opinions that you have shared. I will be heading down this weekend to visit, and if Mom is still in the hospital, I think it is going to be "concealed means concealed" for me. I have never been made yet, so I am not going to sweat it.

Since hospitals are not on the restricted list according to Florida 790, which governs CWL's I am inclined to ignore their attempts to have me disarm.
