When stationed on Adak, AK we went to the range quarterly for "familiarization fire". One platoon with 2 M2's, 4 M60's, 2 81mm Mortars, 10 M1911's, 5 M870's, individual M16's, some A5 Brownings, some .22's. Made for a great 2-day outing. One of the M2's went on an anti-aircraft mount, and we tethered a weather balloon 100 feet up, 400 yards down range.
